The project accepts referrals from users of all substances, apart from alcohol only, the main substance of referral being heroin.
The main services that the project provides are individual counselling, prescribing clinics, harm reduction services, GP shared care, groupwork, family support and advice and information. The project also has two Young Person’s Workers who work with young people up to the age of 18, although the main age of referral is under 16. There are also a Co-morbidity Nurse and Drug Worker who work with users who have both a drug problem and a severe and enduring mental illness. The project attempts to focus on the more chaotic and vulnerable user both in relation to their physical and mental health and their social circumstances.
